In their art lessons, Year 3 Brasilia have been diving into the world of Roman mosaics—a perfect cross-curricular link to their History topic on the Romans. The children explored what mosaics are, how they were made in ancient times, and the significance they held in Roman culture. After researching and designing their own patterns, the pupils used small pieces of coloured paper to create their very own mosaic masterpieces. It was a hands-on, creative experience that brought their historical learning to life—and they had so much fun doing it!
Our Year 1 pupils recently wowed us with their fantastic Pirate Assembly, following an actionpacked Pirate Workshop Day! The pupils explored the world of pirates through fun facts, role play, and even a
hilarious puppet show. They learned about pirate life, famous legends. Inspired by the workshop, the children created their own pirates
and brought their learning to life in a lively and creative assembly. It was an amazing success—full of laughter, learning, and a whole
lot of “Ahoy!”
On Thursday 15th May 2025, our school proudly took part in Wear It Green Day as part of Mental Health Awareness Week. Pupils and staff came together wearing green to show support for mental health and to help raise awareness about the importance of wellbeing. It was a simple yet powerful way to start meaningful conversations and promote kindness, understanding, and self-care across our school community.
We’re thrilled to celebrate one of our brilliant Year 4 pupils who created an amazing
science project that truly wowed us all! Their project showcased creativity, curiosity, and a deep understanding
of scientific concepts. Well done — your hard work and enthusiasm have inspired us all!
On Saturday 26th April 2025, our pupils made us incredibly proud by taking part in the London TCS Mini Marathon. Their enthusiasm, determination, and sportsmanship were truly inspiring. Several of our runners were awarded medals for their efforts, which were proudly presented during Monday’s assembly on 28th April. A huge well done to all who took part—you represented our school brilliantly!
On Thursday, 27th March 2025, Year 3 Brasilia wowed us with their fantastic assembly on the
rainforest! Pupils showcased their learning through amazing performances, highlighting the beauty, importance,
and challenges facing these vital ecosystems. A huge thank you to all the parents, guardians, and carers who attended and supported the pupils. Your presence made the event even more special!
On Friday, 21st March 2025, our entire school came together to take part in Red Nose Day! It was fantastic to see everyone embracing the spirit of the day by dressing up in funny outfits, wearing red, and sporting their Red Noses to support this important cause. Last week, our Reception, Year 1, and Year 3 pupils took part in practical pedestrian training to learn essential road safety skills. Through hands-on activities, they practiced crossing safely, understanding traffic signals, and being aware of their surroundings. A great step towards keeping our young pedestrians safe!
On Thursday, 6th March, our school celebrated World Book Day in style! Pupils and staff dressed up as their favourite book characters, bringing stories to life with amazing costumes. It was a fantastic day filled with a love for reading and creativity!
On Tuesday 25th February, our Year 4 pupils took part in an exciting Ancient Egypt Workshop led by CREW©. Through dramatic role-play and hands-on activities, the children became archaeologists, uncovering artefacts and discovering what life was like under the rule of Pharaohs and Gods. From scribes to warriors, each child had a role to play in bringing Ancient Egypt to life. It was a fantastic experience that deepened their understanding of this fascinating civilization!
