R is for Roar! Our Nursery Phonics Fun

In the nursery phonics session, the children were introduced to the letter “r” in a fun, interactive way that helped them connect the sound to everyday language. The teacher first modelled the sound /r/, encouraging the children to repeat it while exaggerating the sound so they could clearly hear how it was formed. The children then practised by making the sound together while pretending to be a roaring lion or revving a racing car, which helped them remember the sound through movement and play.
