Making Mosaics Like the Romans!
Published 13/06/25In their art lessons, Year 3 Brasilia have been diving into the world of Roman mosaics—a perfect cross-curricular link to their History topic on the Romans. The children explored what mosaics are, how they were made in ancient times, and the significance they held in Roman culture. After researching and designing their own patterns, the pupils used small pieces of coloured paper to create their very own mosaic masterpieces. It was a hands-on, creative experience that brought their historical learning to life—and they had so much fun doing it!
