World Day for Cultural Diversity and the Queen’s Jubilee – Non-Uniform Day

Diversity Day, officially known as “The World Day for Cultural Diversity for Dialogue and Development”, is an opportunity to help children understand the value of cultural diversity and learn how to live together in harmony.

On Friday 27th May, the children will be expected to dress in their national costumes to represent their ethnicity. They will perform cultural pieces and create displays of foods, crafts, languages, dress and practices from different cultures.This will be a day filled with assemblies and activities related to the different cultures, the British Values and the celebration of the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee.
