Landscape Art 29/06/20
During the week commencing Monday 22nd June, Year 6 children created beautiful landscape paintings using different shades of a specific colour of their choice. They analysed various landscapes, deepening their understanding of how depth is created using different shades. They then implemented these same techniques into their Art work with unique brush strokes and persistent but careful blending. They learnt how to create depth by interchanging between foreground and background elements to produce an illusion of linear perspective. With their refined knowledge on the composition of landscape paintings, they were able to emphasise space and depth, whilst incorporating the concepts of foreground, middle ground and background into their Art, using only one paintbrush per shade to avoid stains.
